Residents' warning over airshow

The airshows will include some aircraft that may be "intrusive"

People living near a Sussex airport have been warned to expect noise disturbance during two summer airshows.

Shoreham Airport is holding the RAFA Airshow at the end of the month and will be a base for aircraft attending Eastbourne Air Show from 14 August.

The Airport Authority is contacting resident associations and equine centres to tell them about the events.

They are being advised that some of the aircraft could cause a disturbance while flying over the area.

An airport spokesman said: "Both of these events will have aircraft that some people may find intrusive.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The Eastbourne Air Show takes place from 14 to 17 August and the RAFA Airshow from 30 to 31 August.
