Roads searched after sex attack

A woman was sexually assaulted in Hove in the early hours of the morning.

Sussex Police said the woman was attacked at about 0100 BST in Clarendon Villas. Two streets have been cordoned off while the area is searched.

Officers said the assault was being treated as "an isolated incident" and that the type of attack was "rare".

Goldstone Street and Clarendon Villas are closed while officers carry out a "thorough search". Police are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

Police want to trace a man described as having an Asian appearance, wearing a baseball cap, dark jacket and jogging bottoms.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the force.
