Body of man found near car park

Police are investigating after the body of a man was found in bushes close to a car park in Brighton.

They were called to an area by East Brighton Park, off Wilson Avenue, at about 0900 BST.

The site remains cordoned off as police try to find out the cause of the death, which they are treating as unexplained.

They would like to hear from anyone who saw the man, who was of heavy build, in his 30s, and wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt and green cargo trousers.

Officers said he was also wearing white trainers.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
