Revamped library set for opening

A library in East Sussex will officially reopen on Thursday morning after a £436,000 refurbishment.

Bexhill's Western Road Library now has extra space, improved toilet and baby changing facilities and a new lift.

It also offers new facilities where customers can renew and return books without the aid of a member of staff.

Bob Tidy of East Sussex County Council said: "We have improved the internal layout, installed new lighting and upgraded the heating system."

He went on: "The refurbishment work has created a more modern and comfortable environment."
