Driver killed in A21 crash named

A man who died after a three-vehicle crash on the A21 in East Sussex has been officially named by police.

John Gilroy, 52, from St Leonards, was travelling south when his car was involved in a crash with a van and a goods vehicle at Hurst Green.

He was taken to hospital in Hastings with serious injuries and later died.

Anyone who saw the collision last Wednesday morning, or the movement of any of the vehicles prior to it, have been asked to call police.

The accident happened just before 0715 BST and involved a grey Fiat Marea HLX, a red DAF goods vehicle, and a Vauxhall Vivaro van.
