Boy seriously hurt in cycle crash

A 12-year-old cyclist has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after he was in a collision with a car.

Sussex Police said the boy was seriously injured on Monday, at about 1520 BST, in the crash at Barrack Lane, Bognor, West Sussex.

The boy was taken to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester, a spokesman for the force said.

Appealing for witnesses, he said the car involved was a red Peugeot 107.
