Museum building plans go on show
Architects' plans for a museum building in West Sussex are going on display as part of a month-long consultation.

Chichester District council has said it wants "an iconic building" on the Tower Street site. Architect Keith Williams has produced two possible designs.

Plans can be viewed at Chichester Library, where a model of the area from the cathedral to the North Walls will help people to picture the plans.

The district museum's current building in Little London is being sold.

Councillor Nick Thomas said the project would allow the authority to show the museum's "varied collection" in "many innovative ways".

The exhibition, which opened on Monday, can be viewed at the library until Saturday.

It will then tour the district, "to give as many people as possible the opportunity to comment", Mr Thomas said.
