Dog walker in cliff edge rescue
A woman has been rescued from the edge of a cliff in East Sussex after she slipped while walking her dog.

The alarm was raised after her cries for help were heard by walkers on the foreshore at Newhaven.

A coastguard team which went to the aid of the woman on Wednesday evening said she was shaken, but uninjured. The dog was also recovered unharmed.

The woman, who lives locally, slipped over the top edge of the cliff, but did not fall down it, rescuers said.
