New tribute after fireworks blast
Brian Wembridge and Geoff Wicker
Mr Wembridge and Mr Wicker have been given posthumous honours
Training rooms at a new fire service centre in East Sussex have been named after two members of staff killed in an explosion at a fireworks depot.

The facilities were dedicated to Brian Wembridge and Geoff Wicker on the same day the training centre, in Maresfield, was opened by Prince Edward.

The Earl of Wessex saw firefighting demonstrations at the new Centre of Excellence on Monday.

Mr Wembridge and Mr Wicker died in a blast in Halland last December.

They were both caught in the explosion during a blaze at Festival fireworks UK Ltd.

Prince Edward met members of their families during his time in Maresfield.

He also visited an army cadet camp in Crowborough and Uckfield Community Technical College.
