Tories retain control of Wealden

The Conservatives have retained control of Wealden District Council in the local elections despite party leader Nigel Coltman losing his seat.

The Tory group kept 34 seats on the East Sussex authority, while the Liberal Democrat group lost two seats leaving them with 12.

And two seats were gained by the Green Party, while seven other seats remain with other groups.

All 55 seats were up for grabs in Wealden. There was a 38.51% turnout.
