Man denies string of sex offences
A man has denied committing a string of sex attacks on girls and young women in West Sussex dating back nine years.

Mark Richard Campbell, 37, of Grenville Gardens, Donnington, Chichester, is charged with 12 offences alleged to have taken place between 1998 and 2004.

The attacks are alleged to have been carried out in the Bognor Regis and Chichester areas.

He was remanded in custody on Monday by Chichester Crown Court. A provisional trial date was set for 17 September.

Mr Campbell is charged with three rapes, including two alleged to have been committed on two 15-year-old girls on the same day, 26 August 2004.

He is also charged with five counts of indecent assault, two counts of false imprisonment, one count of sexual assault and one count of attempted indecent assault.

He was charged in connection with Operation Bobcat, Sussex Police's investigation into sex crimes against young women and girls in West Sussex between 1996 and 2000.
