Garden centre fire 'suspicious'

An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire which gutted several derelict buildings at a garden centre in Surrey.

Six fire engines were sent to Kennedys in Oaken Lane, Claygate after the fire broke out just before 0100 GMT.

The fire was extinguished after two hours but firefighters returned to inspect the scene at first light.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said it was believed the fire was started deliberately.
