A 24-year-old woman has been robbed at knifepoint in Surrey.

Police have released an image of a man who was believed to be involved in the incident in Stanwell on Thursday.

The woman was talking on her mobile phone while she was getting into her car when the suspect approached her at about 1930 GMT, officers said.

She handed over her phone and handbag, which included £100 in cash, after he threatened her with a knife outside Wessex Court in De Havilland Way.

Police said the suspect fled on foot after the attack. Officers are viewing CCTV footage in a bid to find him.

Det Con Nick Beer said the woman was not injured but left scared and shaken after being targeted by the "cowardly offender".
