Man on 'road rage' attack charge

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a driver was shot in a suspected "road rage" attack in Kent.

The 31-year-old man was shot in the stomach during a confrontation between two motorists in Alkham Valley Road, in Alkham, near Dover, on 26 October.

Paul Smith, also known as Andrew Bywater, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates' Court earlier.

Mr Smith, of Friars Way, Dover, was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 23 November.
