Three-year football ban for fan

Luke Meadowcroft
Luke Meadowcroft must surrender his passport for overseas games

An AFC Wimbledon fan involved in football disorder over more than eight years has been given a three-year football banning order.

Luke Meadowcroft, 36, of The Ridgeway, Oxshott, Surrey, was given the ban at City of Westminster Magistrates Court.

The order prevents him attending AFC Wimbledon or England games and restricts his access to national and Underground trains.

The court heard he goaded opposition fans repeatedly between 2000 and 2008.

In addition, he must surrender his passport when either AFC Wimbledon or England are involved in matches abroad.

The order was successfully sought by British Transport Police.
