Machinery worth £150,000 stolen

Thieves have stolen £150,000 worth of machinery and a lorry from a forestry equipment suppliers in Surrey.

A total of 100 chainsaws, 60 leaf blowers, 70 garden strimmers, a lawnmower and a vehicle were taken from Honey Brothers in Guildford.

Surrey Police said rare tree-climbing harnesses were stolen during the raid in New Pond Road, overnight on 23 June.

Two brands, Tree Motion and Austrian Duo3, are only sold by two stockists. The van was from Kendall van hire.

Police have urged anyone with information about the theft to get in touch.

Det Con Alex Boxall said: "If you are in the trade and know who might be selling these items, please contact Surrey Police so we can bring the offenders to justice. "
