Ice cream man attacked by driver

A driver who injured an ice cream man when he smashed the windscreen of his van with a scaffolding pole is being sought by police in Surrey.

The "unprovoked attack" took place in Foreman Road, Ash Green, police said.

He was struck on his body and a second man then sprayed a substance into his eyes causing a temporary loss of sight.

Officers said the suspect was driving a white transit van, which overtook the ice cream van between 1700 and 1800 BST last Thursday, forcing it to stop.
