Biker killed in crash into fence

A motorcyclist was killed and his friend injured after they lost control of their bike on a road in Surrey.

The pair were riding an off-road Yamaha bike on the B2028 Racecourse Road, in Lingfield, when it crashed into fencing near the junction with St Piers Lane.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said one person was killed and the other suffered non-life threatening injuries.

In an appeal for witnesses, he said he did not believe any other vehicle was involved in the accident at 0555 BST.
