Health trust status views sought

A Surrey hospital trust has urged people to give views on its decision apply for foundation status.

Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust will launch a consultation on its application to become a Foundation Trust on 1 June.

The trust said the change in status would give the hospital more control locally and allow it to meet the needs of people better.

The consultation will run until 23 August.
