Olympic silver medallist Roger Black is to unveil the logo chosen to feature on flags and materials for Surrey 2012.

The logo, which will feature on flags and other materials for the programme, was designed by 22-year-old Rachel Cresswell, from Hastings, East Sussex.

Ms Cresswell is a student at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in Epsom, where the unveiling will take place on Monday.

UCA is also to co-ordinate a Cultural Olympiad for Surrey in 2012.

"We are thrilled that one of our student's designs will play such an important part in Surrey's hosting of events in 2012," said Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Seymour Roworth-Stokes.

"And we are absolutely delighted that Roger Black will be there to unveil the logo."

The unveiling of the logo will be followed by a briefing on the county's plans to host teams, events and training for the Olympics by 2012 co-ordinator, Elizabeth Molineux.
