Police issued CCTV in an appeal over the "vicious and unprovoked" attack

CCTV has been issued after a man was punched to the ground and had glasses smashed over his head in a Reigate pub.

Surrey Police said the 21-year-old victim was left with serious head injuries after the assault in the Priory in Bell Street.

Officers have released CCTV images of three men in a renewed appeal after the attack on 17 April.

Det Con David Sprague said the victim was asked for a cigarette but refused and was then attacked by the men.

Det Con Sprague said: "This was a vicious and unprovoked attack which left the victim with serious injuries.

"It was a busy Friday night in Reigate and I know there were lots of people around.

"It is vital anyone who witnessed this assault, or who thinks they saw the suspects that night, comes forward."

He said said the men ran from the pub after the attack. The victim was left with serious cuts and bruising, and a cut to his ear.
