Help needed to identify dead man

Information that could help identify a man found dead in Surrey is being sought by police.

Officers were called to Bonehurst Road in Horley on Thursday afternoon after a dog walker found the body on the edge of a field, next to tennis courts.

The dead man, thought to be in his late 60s, was carrying a cheque book.

Police said a Dodge Grand Voyager vehicle, parked at the Sky Lane Hotel, is believed to have links with the man. The area remains cordoned off.

Officer said the death was currently being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination was being carried out on Friday.

The dead man was described as white, about 5ft 9ins, and clean-shaven with a white goatee beard.

He was wearing a maroon jacket over another black leather jacket, a maroon jumper, a blue, white and purple striped shirt, and dark trousers.
