Cyclist injured in van collision

A cyclist is being treated in hospital for serious injuries following a collision with a van in a Surrey town.

The man, who is thought to be in his 50s, was involved in the crash on Seven Hills Road, Walton-on-Thames at about 1240 GMT.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to a London hospital by ambulance.

Surrey Police have appealed for people who witnessed the incident involving a white box van to contact them.
