Three masked men raid off-licence

Three masked men stole cash after forcing a shop assistant to open a safe at an off-licence, police have said.

Detectives said the men, wearing dust masks, raided the Wine Rack in Station Approach Road, Tadworth, Surrey, on Thursday evening.

The assistant did not see a weapon but a witness saw a man carrying an object similar to a hammer as he ran away.

The incident is not being linked to a robbery on Tuesday at a Wine Rack in the Kingswood area, which is nearby.

A mask was found in an alleyway close to the shop on Station Approach Road.

One suspect is described as being white, in his late teens to early 20s, of slim build and average height. He was wearing a black hooded top.

Surrey Police have urged anyone with information to contact them.
