Fire murder charge man in court

A 40-year-old car dealership manager has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of his partner.

Alan Jermey appeared before Woking magistrates charged with murdering 34-year-old Kirsty Wilson, whose body was found after a fire at their home.

Surrey firefighters found the body after being called to the house, in Greenmeads, Woking, early on Wednesday.

Mr Jermey's next court appearance is at the Old Bailey on 24 October.

Surrey Police said Miss Wilson's body was formally identified by dental records on Friday.
