Woman, 60, hit by car identified

A woman who died after she was struck by a car in Surrey has been identified by police.

Susan Peters, 60, from Leatherhead, died from injuries she sustained when she was hit by a Volkswagen Golf on Oxshott Road, Leatherhead, on Friday.

She was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital but later pronounced dead.

A 25-year-old man from Fetcham who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released on police bail until 7 November.
