Thirteen held over festival drugs

Thirteen people were arrested for possession and supply of Class A and C drugs at a music festival in Surrey.

Drugs seized at the three-day GuilFest, at Stoke Park near Guildford, included substances believed to be ecstasy, cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.

Of those arrested, four were charged, with the remainder either released on police bail or given cautions.

Others held included a man on suspicion of assault, and three people for drink and public order-related offences.

Seven thefts were also reported over the weekend.

Police said considering the thousands of people who attended the event, the incidents of reported crime were low.

GuilFest hosted about 200 acts during the music and performing arts event.
