Two charged with police assault

Two teenagers have been accused of attacking a police officer following an incident in a Surrey town.

Lewis Spendlove, 19, of no fixed abode, was charged with assaulting a police officer, assaulting a PCSO and a number of public order offences.

A 17-year-old from Camberley, who cannot be named for legal reasons was charged with an assault on a police constable and aggressive behaviour.

The charges follow an incident in Princess Way, Camberley, on 3 July.

Mr Spendlove is due to appear at North West Surrey Magistrates' Court on 18 July. The 17-year-old will appear before the North West Surrey Youth Court on 16 July.
