Horse's face burnt with cigarette

A horse in Surrey has been injured after receiving several cigarette burns to the face.

The incident happened between 0130 BST and 0900 BST on Sunday at a field in Godstone, with the horse sustaining the injuries around its right eye.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "I am appealing to members of the Godstone community to come forward with any clues which will help us.

"Someone out there has the vital information we need," he added.
