Teenager admits killing baby son

A teenager from Surrey has admitted killing his five-month-old son.

Steven Wilkinson, of Willow Close, Beare Green, Dorking, was 17 at the time of his son Rylan's death.

The baby boy died from severe head injuries in October 2006. Wilkinson, who is now 19, appeared at the Old Bailey, where he admitted manslaughter.

He had earlier denied murdering his son. Wilkinson had been due to stand trial this week and was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on 12 May.
