Golf days help pay for baby cots
Hospital staff and baby cots
New arrivals at the hospital have new cots to spend their first days in
Fifty new cots have been handed over to a Surrey hospital thanks to two charity golf events and other fund-raising.

The maternity unit at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, was the recipient of the replacements for its "rather old and tired cots".

The hospital's League of Friends benefited from a charity day at Burhill Golf Club, in Walton-on-Thames.

The group also arranged its own golf day at Sunningdale Ladies Club, in Berkshire, which raised £4,000.

The money from the golf events was topped up with other donations to reach the £15,000 total needed for the new cots.
