Boy assaulted in bike theft bid
A 12-year-old boy has been treated for a broken nose and a black eye after he was assaulted when he refused to hand over his bike to three men in Surrey.

He was cycling home along Vickers Road, in Ash Vale, when they stopped him and asked to borrow his bike.

He was hit in the face by two of them when he refused, in what police said was an unprovoked attack.

The three suspects were aged between 17 and 20 years old, and one of them was carrying a long piece of rope.

The first offender was described as being about 5ft 3in tall, of average build, with short brown hair and facial hair under his chin.

Chubby face

He was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms, a dark short-sleeved t-shirt and black trainers.

The second suspect was described as 5ft 8in tall, with short blond hair.

He was wearing light blue trousers, a light blue top and white trainers.

The third suspect was 5ft 6in tall and of a large build with a chubby face.

He was wearing a long-sleeved dark top with white stripes and white trousers.

Any witnesses to the incident, which happened on 4 October at about 1700 BST, are asked to contact police.
