Businesses have dug deep for their police community support officer
Nearly 100 tenants at a business park in Surrey have clubbed together to buy a car for their local police community support officer (PCSO).

More than £4,000 was raised by Dunsfold Park businesses towards a Ford Ka for PCSO Alex Woodhall.

She patrols the Alfold, Ellen's Green and Dunsfold area, just south of Cranleigh in Surrey.

The fund-raising idea was put forward at a neighbourhood panel meeting regularly held by Surrey Police.

Pc John Hockley, who works alongside PCSO Woodhall, said: "[She] covers a substantial rural area and having the car will enable her to get around much more quickly and easily.

"This will allow her to provide a more visible presence and be more accessible to the local community."
