Robber flees bookmakers with cash
A robber who threatened staff at a bookmakers in Surrey with a metal hammer before fleeing with a bag of cash is being sought by police.

The man walked into the Coral office in Frimley Road, Camberley, on Wednesday evening and told two female employees to put cash into a black carrier bag.

A customer was also in the shop during the raid but no-one was injured.

The robber, who was described as black and about 6ft tall, fled with about 1,500, police said.

Witnesses sought

He was wearing a dark fur-hooded coat and dark trousers, and had a black scarf covering his face.

Officers have urged a group of people, who were aged in their late 40s and standing outside the bookmakers by a black BMW, to contact them.

They are also keen to hear from a man in his 60s, with grey hair, wearing a light coloured top and trousers who may also have information.

The robber was last seen heading towards the roundabout at Park Road and Wilton Road.
