Police chase after burglary spree
A series of burglaries in one afternoon in north-west Surrey ended with a police vehicle pursuing a group of suspects through a town centre.

Three men were seen to throw items from the windows of a blue Ford Focus as they were chased in Chobham.

Police lost the vehicle in the town but it was later found abandoned in Horsell Common Road, Horsell, near Woking.

The men are believed to be connected to four burglary incidents in Windlesham, Frimley and Lightwater on Monday.

Burglar alarm

Jewellery worth about £20,000 and a brown and beige-coloured Louis Vuitton bag were stolen from a house in London Road, Windlesham, at about 1300 BST.

The occupant of the property returned as the burglary was in process, and challenged a man on the driveway as he fled the scene towards the Wyevale Garden Centre.

About two hours later in Snows Paddock, Windlesham, three men in a blue Ford Focus failed to break into another house when they spotted someone inside.

Cash and jewellery was taken from a property in Warren Rise, Frimley - but a burglar alarm caused the men to flee from a fourth house in Macdonald Road, Lightwater, just before 1600 BST.

A police patrol spotted the blue Ford Focus in nearby Sunningdale, in Berkshire, but it was then lost in Chobham.

It was found dumped in Horsell on Tuesday.
