Tyres slashed in vehicle attacks
Nine vehicles have had their tyres slashed in the space of three days in an area of north Surrey.

The eight cars and one van were all parked around Knaphill and St John's, near Woking, when the vandalism was carried out.

The first report was about a Nissan Micra in a residential car park in Knaphill, which had its tyres slashed overnight from Wednesday into Thursday.

Eight more vehicles were targeted from Thursday night into Friday morning.

Surrey Police said the total amount of damage caused had been estimated at about £1,500.

Other residents are advised to check their vehicles and any witnesses are being asked to come forward.

Insp Lynette Shanks said: "We will not tolerate these mindless acts of vandalism which cause so much distress and inconvenience for the victims."
