The rape suspect is believed to be a foreign national
A sighting of a man who fits the description of a rape suspect has been reported to police in Surrey.

He was seen three days before a teenage girl was raped in Ash, in the same area where the attack on 21 May took place.

The man shouted in a foreign language at a young girl on a bike. Police want to know about any similar sightings.

The suspect is aged in his early 20s, with tanned skin and a distinctive scar on his right cheek. He also wore a hooped earring in his left ear.

He was seen on 18 May between about 1645 BST and 1745 BST.

Three days later a 16-year-old girl was raped on a secluded footpath on common land leading to a footbridge over the A331 Blackwater Valley Route.

Police officers were out in the area on Monday afternoon to talk to passers-by and seek potential witnesses.
