Women warned after sexual attack
Women and girls have been warned to be on the alert after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Surrey.

Police have deployed extra patrols in the area where Monday's attack took place, on a secluded footpath near the A331 Blackwater Valley Route.

The teenager was approached from behind and sexually assaulted as she walked from Aldershot towards Ash.

"We will not tolerate attacks of this type and are doing our utmost to catch this man," Det Insp John Cable said.

The suspect is described as between 20 and 25 years old, about 5ft 5in, with a slim, skinny build, short dark hair, brown eyes, a tanned appearance with olive skin, and long dirty fingernails.

We are appealing to the public to come forward if they know someone who fits the description."

He had a scar on his right cheek, a gold hooped earring in his left ear and a fresh cut to his wrist.

Police said he was wearing black clothes and appeared to be a foreign national with only a few words of English.

"Although the area where the attack took place is a secluded spot, it is surrounded by heavily populated area each side of the A331," said Mr Cable.

After the assault the attacker ran off towards Ash.

"We are appealing to the public to come forward if they saw a man matching the description in the area on Monday afternoon or if they know someone who fits the description." said Mr Cable.
