Teenage girl attacked on footpath
A 16-year-old girl has been seriously attacked on a footpath in Ash, Surrey.

Surrey Police said the teenager was assaulted by a man who approached her unexpectedly, between 1600 BST and 1700 BST on Monday

She was near the A331 Blackwater Valley Route from Aldershot to Ash when the incident took place.

A spokesman for Surrey Police asked anyone with information to get in touch straight away. The man was in his 20s and had a fresh cut to his wrist.

He was described as between 20 and 25 years old, about 5ft 5ins, with a slim, skinny build, short dark hair, brown eyes, a tanned appearance with olive skin, and long dirty fingernails.

He had an indented scar on his right cheek and wore a gold hooped earring in his left ear.

Police said he was wearing black clothes.
