Man charged over Ipswich train derailment

A man has been charged with dangerous driving following a crash which derailed a train in Suffolk.

A car ended up on the track, derailing a goods train near Derby Road station in Ipswich on 12 November.

Jason Whitehead, 37, of Ipswich, has also been charged with driving without a licence or insurance, British Transport Police said.

He is due to appear before South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich on Wednesday.
