Man held over moped rider death

A man has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a moped rider died in a three-vehicle crash in Suffolk.

The female rider was pronounced dead soon after the collision between her moped, a van and a car on the A137 at Wherstead at about 0630 GMT.

Police said a 51-year-old man from the Ipswich area had been questioned.

Witnesses to the crash, which led to the closure of the A137 for more than six hours, are urged to contact police.
