Van crashed after police pursuit

Three occupants of a van, abandoned after crashing into railings in Suffolk shortly after it was pursued by police, are being sought by officers.

The Ford Transit crashed in Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, on Saturday night.

Police were called to Ipswich Hospital at about 2020 GMT on Saturday after reports of men acting suspiciously.

The men got into the van which sped off pursued by police. But police broke off the pursuit when the van reached speeds of more than 60mph. It then crashed.

Eyewitnesses told BBC Radio Suffolk that three people were seen leaving the van.
