Man's body in flat not suspicious

The death of a man whose body was found in a flat in a Suffolk village is not suspicious, police have said.

A landlord became concerned about the occupant of the flat on the High Street in Cavendish after an alarm went off.

When he went into the flat he found the body. Police officers then examined the premises and carried out inquiries.

A post-mortem examination was conducted and the death is not now being treated as suspicious, but the case has been referred to the coroner.

The cordons at the flat in Cavendish, a village between Haverhill and Sudbury, have now been lifted.
