Open prison inmate goes missing

An inmate has absconded from an open prison in Suffolk.

Police said they are searching for 28-year-old Craig Lynch, who is serving a seven-year sentence for aggravated burglary.

He was last seen at Hollesley Bay prison at 1615 BST on Wednesday and was known to be missing at 1700 BST.

He is 5ft 9in (1.75m), of stocky build, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. He has connections in Edgware, Middlesex, and north-east London.

Suffolk Police said anyone who sees Lynch should contact them and not take any further action.
