Crime down at Latitude Festival

Police believe crime at a festival in Suffolk is down on the high number of thefts at last year's event.

Officers made 10 arrests in connection with theft, assault, driving and drug offences at Latitude between Thursday and Monday.

Chief Supt Mark Cordell said reported crime was "nowhere near" the more than 100 thefts from tents in 2008.

He put the reduction down to good co-operation with the organisers and security advice handed out on-site.
