Decomposed body found by police

The decomposed body of a man has been found by two police officers on routine patrol in Suffolk.

The officers were walking along Ranelagh Road, Ipswich, on Saturday night and noticed a bad smell.

Police said the body, believed to be that of an "older man", was found in undergrowth.

It is thought to have been in the area some time and the death is being treated as unexplained at this stage, police added.
