Town remembers Iraq servicewoman

A soldier who died in a bomb blast in Iraq three years ago has been given a memorial in the Suffolk town where she grew up.

Staff Sergeant Sharron Elliott, 34, was killed in 2006 along with three colleagues when their patrol boat was attacked in Basra.

She spent her childhood in Hadleigh and was a pupil at its high school.

The Royal British Legion will later dedicate the memorial in Hadleigh's Garden of Remembrance.
