Police name fatal collision man

A pedestrian who was hit by a lorry in Suffolk and died from his injuries a week later has been named by police as 31-year-old Ian Petrie.

Mr Petrie, of Scarling Road in Bury St Edmunds, was hit by a lorry on the High Street, Newmarket, in the early hours of Friday 26 June.

He died on Tuesday in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. The lorry driver was treated for shock at the scene.

Suffolk Police want to hear from witnesses, or anyone with information.
