Storms leave a trail of damage

A storm has left a trail of damage across parts of Suffolk.

Some people in Leavenheath described seeing a funnel cloud during the storms which began on Sunday afternoon and continued into the night.

Firefighters were called to a house which had been as struck by lightning causing a fire on the ground floor.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said an elderly man had suffered minor burns in the incident and was treated by the ambulance service.
