Man arrested in stab murder probe

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman died from stab wounds in Suffolk, police said.

Suffolk Police said they were called to a house in Bull Rush Crescent, Bury St Edmunds at 0244 BST to reports a woman had been assaulted and injured.

A police spokeswoman said the woman, who was in her 30s, died in hospital a short time later.

She said the 40-year-old man, believed to be from the area, was arrested at a property in Bockhill Road.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries.

The police spokeswoman said both properties were being examined.
